Retirement means spending more time with the family, retirement means more opportunities but sadly for Mr. Epifanio Z. Apilan, retirement for him means leaving the Dipolog of School of Fisheries family.

As he reached 60 last Feb. 26, 2015, Mr. Epifanio Z. Apilan decided to take his liberty and motivated to live abundantly with his beloved family, so he took the chance of departure throwing a Farewell party to the DSF Family last Feb. 27, 2015 after serving 33 fruitful years. He was an extraordinary example of humility, his modesty in heart and mind made him competent in every endeavor he pursued. He started as an ordinary School Security Guard and then became Head Security Guard. This showed his dedication and commitment to DSF Family.

He was known as the “King of the Entry,” as everyone who entered the school premises acknowledged him. He was also called the “Guardian of Amity” for his maintenance of peace and security all over the DSF territory.

DSF entrance gate roared for his time off but then again she grinned silently for she knew spending time with him was extraordinary.
