TESDA IX undergoes Training on ISO Quality Management

As part of the continuous improvement interventions in upholding TESDA’s ISO 9001:2008 Certification, a three-day training on Practical Internal Auditing, Root Cause Analysis and CAPA and Verification of Effectiveness which is implemented in all regions, was scheduled for Region IX last June 1-3, 2015 at Zamboanga Seafood House, San Roque, Zamboanga City.

The aim of the training was to continuously build the capabilities of the TESDA IX Quality Management Team to sustain the agency’s ISO 9001:2008 Certification.

With the help of resource person, Allan DG Fabella, the participants were expected to: a) Understand ISO 9001:2008 Standards, b) Learn the Seven Quality Management Principles, c) Acquire the skills in practical auditing, d) Apply Corrective Action/Preventive Action to TESDA Quality Procedures, e) Understand better the Fish Bone Diagram and Root Cause Analysis.

The QMS Focalships include the following: a) RQMR, b) Regional IQA, c) Human Resource and Administrative Services, d) Document and Records Control, e) UTPRAS, f) Customer Satisfaction, g) Infrastructure Services, h) CAC, i) Work Environment, j) Billing and Collection, k) PQMR, l) Procurement Services.

Attendees included representatives from the different TESDA Regional and Provincial Operating Units of Region IX.
