TWSP beneficiaries graduate from Spanish Language Course

Twenty beneficiaries of the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) graduated from the Language Skills Institute (LSI) Spanish Language Course last September 15, 2015 at the Zamboanga Ecozone and Freeport Authority Conference Room. Present for the occasion were ZFA Senior Labor and Employment Officer Joselito Nuevo and Senior TESD Specialist Nelly H. Macapili.

The implementation of the TWSP was a cooperative effort by the City Government of Zamboanga, TESDA IX and ZamboEcozone. The recruitment of beneficiaries was done by the City Government of Zamboanga and ZamboEcozone, the training site was provided by the ZamboEcozone while TESDA IX provided the trainers and training regulation.

The Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) is directed towards filling up the skills gaps and job requirements of priority industries and sectors with high employment demand, improving the reach of quality TVET to the grassroots and encouraging technical-vocational institutions to offer programs in higher qualifications catering to in-demand industry requirements. This shall be supportive of the government's thrust of rapid, inclusive and sustained economic growth.
