DSWD offers Scholarships to 4Ps Beneficiaries

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) offered Pantawid sa Pamilyang Pilipino Pangkabuhayan Program (4Ps) grants on Technical Vocational courses this 2015 through the cooperation of TESDA’S supervised institution, Dipolog School of Fisheries (DSF).

Last Jan. 26, 2015, Quirino S. Tamayo, DSF Vocational Instruction Supervisor I, oriented the 4Ps beneficiaries about the scholarship given by DSWD and committed to pursue the plan before March 2015.

The training qualifications offered are Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM), supervised by Reynaldo Zamora with a nominal duration of 402 hrs., and Motorcycle and Small Engine Servicing (MSES) supervised by Engr. Francisco dela Sala Jr. with a titular period of 286 hrs.

MSES recipients include the Municipalities of Roxas and Manukan, Zamboanga del Norte with 64 scholars. EIM recipients include the Municipality of Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte along with 46 grants. The offerings included full qualification of Common and Basic English guided by DSF Instructors Ms. Grace Baraquia and Ms. Eleven Maraon-Bagarinao.

DSWD’s objective to promote Filipino trade and livelihood pushed forward through the efforts of TESDA with the DSF’s expertise.
