TESDA IX completes E-NGAS orientation

TESDA IX recently completed a three-day orientation on the use of the Electronic National Government Accounting System (E-NGAS), held at the TESDA IX Conference Room, Zamboanga City last October 13-15, 2015.

TESDA Assistant Chief Accountant Christopher V. Chua was the resource speaker during the three-day workshop/orientation. The participants for the orientation included Accounting Section personnel from Kabasalan Institute of Technology, Dipolog School of Fisheries and TESDA IX Regional and Provincial Offices.

The orientation included the following activities:

Day 1 – Installation and Creation of Database

Day 2 – Data Entry for the First Quarter of 2015

Day 3 –(Morning) Continuation of Data Entry for the First Quarter

(Afternoon) Presentation of First Quarter Report

The implementation of the e-NGAS is in line with TESDA’s thrust on good governance, with the aim of promoting transparency in financial transactions, timeliness and accuracy in financial reporting of all implementing offices within the agency.
