A 22-day Teahouse Trek from Sukhetar to Kanchenjunga S-BC and then via SeleLa pass to Kanchenjunga N-BC and back to Taplejung in Eastern Nepal.

Trek Day - 03 Trek Yangpang to Mamankhe
On 17th Oct 2015 - I had got up early today and had a look around outside (6:00AM) before breakfast. The weather was clear and I could see several snow peaks of Kanchenjunga range in the distance from here. I went back in to get my camera and took several shots at the snow peak with high-zoom.

After breakfast (Boiled Eggs and Manz's Poha) we started the trek and went down initially on stony steps to cross a river on a bridge.
There was some confusion at the Bridge, as Robbie was missing! He was always leading the team, way ahead, but here he must have lost his way somewhere. And so Dinesh & Robert went back searching for him. Bill and me continued onwards by climbing up slowly to the top of Phumpe Danda at 9:00AM. We got stunning views of snow peaks from there esp Mt. Jannu (a.k.a. Kumbakarna).
At Phumpe Danda there were several tea-house and we rested a while ath the main square in front of shop and teahouse named Phumphe-Danda Teahouse (9:15am in that balcony clock below):

I made call home to wife from here to say everything is going OK so far on this trek. After some Rest and Tea etc. we resumed trek climbing first down to Khaskewa River (1540M) and then climb on to Mamankhe (1780M).

We continued on climbing towards Mamankhe and at about 12:30 we reached the outskirts of the village. We found a nice teahouse-shop there selling beer and so we stopped. Had Beer and also a Dal-Bhat lunch before we walked into our Stay GH i.e. "Kanchenjunga Camping and Lodge" a bit further ahead after lunch.
