Bhutan Trip Overview and Arrival by Air in Paro
I have been to Bhutan before. But I wanted to show my wife this beautiful, scenic and peaceful country. So as a family vacation we planned this 8-day trip through a Bhutan tour operator as "total package". The operator was: Bhutan Travel Agency. Their contact details in the foot-note of this page.
We flew in, early in the morning, into Paro (from Kolkata) by Royal Bhutan's Druk Air.
Due to several flights landing bunched together there was an hour's delay for Immigration Clearance and baggage collection. Our Guide Palden and the Driver Nima with the Car arranged by our Tour Agency (Bhutan Travel Agency) was waiting outside the airport.
We left for Thimpu immediately and on the way we stopped at Tachogang Gompa for a brief visit. We have 3 days in Paro at the end of tour and so we did not try and see any Paro sights today.
