Background
This was a " very-unplanned" trek! I had no specific trek route planned for this one. I had scheduled this trek, first, for Oct-22 and then again for Mid-Nov-22; but both of them had to be canceled due to clash with a some family events. Each time, I lost some money in cancelling the air-ticket and rebooking. Finally, the 3rd time time I booked for 17th Dec. flying from Mumbai to Kathmandu by Indigo. I knew it was rather late in the season and it would be pretty cold in the mountains by mid-Dec. Still, I decided to give it a try, just to get an experience of a December Trek.
At Thamel, Kathmandu, I met Suman Neupane, my trek-agent ( Asian Hiking Team) and discussed the trek. He too confirmed it will be too cold to try anything above 3500M and to avoid high pass-crossings. So, I decided a walk in the middle hills of Annapurna South region; especially covering Ghorepani and Poon Hill; as these were the two bits I had missed in all my earlier treks in that area. I did keep an option to do ABC Sanctuary (again), if it was not too cold when I reached Tadapani. Suman arranged for Guide-Porter, Chandra , who had come with me earlier for the Mardi Himal trek in November 2021 .

Trek Summary:
The trek was easy, went very well and there was no issue. But it was pretty cold with night temperatures raging from 1*C to 5*C and but day time was a comfortable 12-15*C in most places. The views were pretty awesome and panoramic from Ghorepani and Poon Hill. The entire range from Dhaulagiri to Annapurna and Machepuchhare was seen and we had clear skies all the time ,especially in the mornings. At Tadapani , I decided not go on to ABC Sanctuary as temperature there was -8*C (as per Google); that would have been a bit too cold for me.

19-Dec Day-03 Tourist bus from KTM to Pokhara (Dep 7:00am Arr 3:00pm stay in Hotel New United at 10th St near Lakeside
20-Dec Day-04 Taxi to Nayapul (NR 2500/-) at 8am, Started Trek at 9am from Nayapul and reached Hille at 12:15am and stay at Mamatha Home GH
21-Dec Day-05 Trek from Hille 1510m (8:10am) to Ulleri 2080m (11:45am) and stay at Purnima Teahouse
22-Dec Day-06 Trek from Ulleri 2080m to Ghorepani 2750m and stay at the Super View GH there
