Trek Day-14 - 27th Oct 2019 - Return to Machermo

We started the return trek to Machermo at 8:00 AM. The day was sunny and bright .. and all peaks lit up in good sunlight. I was feeling fit and in happy spirits; though a bit disappointed with myself for dropping Rhenjo-La pass route out. But happy to be returning alive and in one piece! Looking back could see the beautiful Cho-Oyo above the Gokyo Teahouse >>>>

Soon we reached the sign post pointing the way to Cho-La pass to go to the Khumbu Valley and EBC. I whould have come from there in 2007, if I had not dropped the ChoLa Pass on my the first trip to EBC. Soon we passed the Prayer flags and Chorten on banks of the main Lake and I stopped to take a picture with Bichery (Pic at top banner).

We continued past the way we came, past the 2nd and 1st Lake.

We stopped at the Cozy Inn Teahouse, Lafarma at 10:30AM and had some Lemon Tea. Nice snow peaks from here too.

At 10:35AM we stopped here for Tea and rested for 15 minutes.

We reached Machermo at Noon and stayed at the same "Tashi Dele GH"

and enjoyed a nice sunny afternoon after a Dal-bhat Lunch.

Trek Day-15 - 28th Oct 2019 - Machermo to Mong-La

Leaving Machermo at 7:45AM we start walk back to Dole. After 15 minutes walk looking back for a last look at Machermo .. this pic:

We reached Dole at 10AM but decided not to stop here for tea or lunch and continue on to Phortse-Tenga. We reached Phortse-Tenga Teahouse at 12:30PM and stopped here for a Lunch. I think I had a Dal-bhat here.

After lunch, I was in a mood to stay here for the day; rather than start the steep 1.5 Hours climb up to Mong-La. But Bichari was suggesting that we move on and stay at Mong-La where it will be cooler and get some snow peak views. I got convinced and so we started the climb to Mong-La and reached there at 3:00PM. And stayed there at the same Buddha Lodge.
