14 Landruk

On 18th Dec morning after getting up when I looked out of the window to Annapurna, I was surprised ... today there were big clouds blocking the view partially. For last 15 Days the skies had been practically cloudless. We left Chomrung at 8:30AM and started climbing down towards Jhinu Danda. Reaching there at 9:55AM. I decided not try for dip in the hot-springs there but instead just have a Lemon-Tea at a Teahouse there and then continue going down.

Going down further and almost near the River level we came across a nice Teahouse "New Bridge GH". we stopped here for 5 minutes' rest and and then went down to the bridge to cross. It was really an old bridge. Didn't know why the place was called "new bridge" then?

After crossing the river Modi Khola we walked South on teh trail and within 10 minutes we passed a nice Teahouse, right next to a cascading waterfall.

After crossing this rickety bridge soon we could see Landruk up ahead. But on reaching there we passed several lower levl teahouse and climbed steeply up to a higher level and found a very nice Teahouse (New Peaceful GH) right next to a road-head where the "reserved" Jeeps start in the morning and go to Phedi or even Pokhara.
