Agartala - City Sights
10th December 2011: Today we was free for our roaming around the city center by ourselves revisiting some of the sights we had already seen in the evening, in the dark, on the day we returned from the South Tripura trip. We first went to Rajar-Bari (under renovation now) and took some pictures of the Palace and also of the huge lakes and grounds outside it.
Entry gate of Rajar Bari (King's Palace)
Looking towards Palace from just inside entry gate - central lawn and water fountains in the middle of the driveways on either side
Main palace - wide sweep of stairs leading up
From the palace steps looking back at the entry gate along the central fountain lawn
One of the two huge lakes in the Palace grounds
Agartala Railway Station was an impressive and regal building!
The main diety at Lakshmi Narayan Temple

Durga Bari - Raja's Private temple was closed
There were many tableau depictions of Sri Krishna's stories in the Laksmi Narayan premises ... you will see several of those in above Link.
