A 16-day Trek to Gokyo-Ri & Lakes ... starting from Salleri & return via Lukla in Everest region, Nepal

Looking back towards Machermo (as we climb a few steps into a narrow gorge where a stream was overflowing from 1st Lake) ... you can see the trail all the way back!
Trek Day-12 - 25th Oct 2019 - Machermo to Gokyo Lakes
Today weather was clear and so we started from Machermo 7:30 AM and crossed the stream and climbed back up the Machermo Ridge to the North reaching the Gazebo/Chorten point (like y'day) where the trail straightens out and heads North.
We walked steadily for nearly 2.5 Hours and at 10:00 AM reached a narrow gorge, where we climbed up several stony steps and then crossing over a truss-bridge with Prayer flags we reached a gushing stream overflowing from the 1st Gokyo Lake. In 5 minutes from here we were at the 1st Lake:

The weather had become partly cloudy; still the views we were great as we continued on towards the 2nd Lake. After about 45 minutes further trek we reached 2nd Lake at 10:50AM. Thi sone was a much bigger lake as can be seen below:

After a few minutes walking around and taking pictures, we continue on... it took a while (40 minutes) to go past the 2nd lake, as it was pretty long. At around 11:40AM we sighted the 3rd & Main Gokyo Lake. In 5 mins, at 11:45AM we reached a Chorten of rock pile with Prayer flags that marked Gokyo. Exhilarated feeling for me having reached, this 'dream' spot. There were some 10-15 other trekkers, just arriving there and all were excited, I could see, taking lots of pictures and running around excited like kids.
The Gokyo Lodges were about 10 minutes away and we reached there at Noon. Checked into "Gokyo Lakeside Lodge" . Nice small lodge with a cheerful and talkative owner Sherpa Lady. It was becoming suddenly very cloudy and soon started snowing.

It snowed steadily and very soon there was a carpet of snow all over. Two Yaks came close to the Dining Hall window to shelter from the wind and I got their picture. I had a Dal-bhat lunch and was too excited to go to sleep. Went outside the door and took more pictures ... Gokyo Ri top was not seen and there was a layer of snow all over it. I hope tomorrow it clears so we can climb to the top and see Everest in sunny weather.

Looking up towards Gokyo-Ri from my GH door (at 5:30PM) ... Top cannot be seen and the whole mountain is now covered with a layer of snow.
