Search access to FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) adverse event statistics
Display of official FDA drug labeling information, including warnings, drug interactions, and dosage details
A drug combination lookup feature showing reactions reported for medications taken together
A personal medication list stored locally on your device
Daily medication reminder notifications
Local saving and sharing of report summaries
What the App Does NOT Provide. The App does NOT:
Provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or prescription services of any kind
Verify, evaluate, or interpret the accuracy or causation of any FDA report data
Replace consultation with a doctor, pharmacist, or licensed healthcare provider
Collect, store, or transmit personal user data to any external server

Article 3. Medical Disclaimer (IMPORTANT)
You expressly acknowledge and agree that:
OpenRx is NOT a medical device and is NOT intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of any disease or condition.
All data displayed in the App originates from publicly available FDA databases. The FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) contains voluntary, unverified reports submitted by patients, healthcare professionals, and manufacturers. A reported association between a drug and a reaction does NOT establish that the drug caused the reaction.
Statistical report counts and percentages displayed in the App are informational aggregations of public data and must NOT be interpreted as medical guidance, risk assessment, or safety confirmation.
You must NEVER start, stop, delay, or change any medication, dosage, or treatment based on information displayed in the App.
You must ALWAYS consult a qualified healthcare professional (doctor or pharmacist) before making any decision related to medications.
In case of a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services (e.g., 911 in the United States) immediately. Do not rely on the App in emergency situations.
The Developer is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially representing the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or any government agency.
Article 4. Data Accuracy & Availability Disclaimer
You acknowledge that:
All data is retrieved in real time from the openFDA public API, and its availability, latency, accuracy, and completeness depend entirely on the FDA's systems
Search results may be incomplete, outdated, or unavailable due to API limitations, network conditions, or database update cycles
The absence of reports for a drug or combination does NOT indicate that the drug or combination is safe
The Developer does not modify, verify, or supplement FDA data and assumes no responsibility for its content
Article 5. Medication Reminder Limitations
The App provides a local notification-based medication reminder feature. You acknowledge that:
Reminder delivery depends on your device settings, operating system version, battery optimization policies, and notification permissions
The Developer does not guarantee that reminders will be delivered accurately or at all on every device
You must NOT rely solely on the App's reminders for critical medication schedules
The Developer is not responsible for any consequences arising from missed, delayed, or failed reminder notifications
Article 6. Data Storage & Privacy
Local Data Storage: All user data — including your medication list, dosage entries, reminder settings, and saved reports — is stored locally on your device only. The Developer does not store any user data on external servers.
No External Data Transmission: The App does not transmit any personal information to any server. The only network communication is anonymous drug-name search queries sent to the public openFDA API, which contain no personally identifiable information.
No Personal Identification: The App does not collect personally identifiable information (PII). No account, login, or registration is required. The Developer has no ability to identify users as individuals.
Data Deletion: You may permanently delete all locally stored data at any time via the in-app Settings.
Data Usage Restrictions: The Developer does NOT sell or share personal data, use user data for advertising or profiling, or store user data on external servers.
Article 7. Third-Party Services
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. The Developer is not responsible for the data practices of Google AdMob or any other third-party SDK included in the App.
Article 8. User Responsibilities
Users agree to:
Use the App for lawful personal informational purposes only
Not use the App as a substitute for professional medical consultation
Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, scrape, or exploit the App or its data pipeline
Not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit the App's design, code, or features
Use their own judgment, together with professional medical advice, regarding all medication decisions
Article 9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
The Developer is not responsible for any health outcomes, medication decisions, adverse reactions, or medical consequences arising from use of or reliance on the App
The Developer is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the App, including damages resulting from data inaccuracy, service interruption, or missed notifications
Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the App is to stop using it
Article 10. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and features of the App are the property of Corp. Exciting. FDA data displayed in the App is public domain information provided by the U.S. government. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal purposes only.
Article 11. Service Changes
The Developer may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of such changes.
Article 12. Changes to Terms
These Terms may be updated periodically. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
