1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using App Detox (the "App"), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not install or use the App. Continued use of the App after any update to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Overview of the Service
App Detox is a screen time management and app locking utility that allows the user to block specific apps entirely or set daily usage time limits for them. When a blocked or over-limit app is detected, the App displays a lock screen and restricts access to that app until the user removes the restriction through the App's own unlock process. Features may change without prior notice.

3. Required Permissions
The App requires the following Android system permissions to function:
(a) Usage Access — to measure how long each app is used each day.
(b) Accessibility Service — to detect which app is currently in the foreground and enforce locks.
(c) Battery Optimization Exemption — to prevent the operating system from terminating the App's background monitoring.
The App uses these permissions solely to detect app launches and measure screen time, and does not read, record, transmit, or store the content, screen contents, or communications of any other app.

4. PIN and Unlock Process
The App requires the user to create a 6-digit PIN during setup. This PIN is used to reopen the App itself and to remove any block or time limit the user has configured. Removing a restriction requires PIN confirmation, a mandatory waiting period, and a written reason. Team EXCITING has no means of recovering a forgotten PIN, as the PIN is never transmitted or stored outside the user's device. If the PIN is forgotten, the user may need to uninstall and reinstall the App to reset it, which will also erase all locally stored settings and history.

5. User Responsibility
The App is a self-imposed restriction tool. The user is solely responsible for the app-blocking and time-limit configurations they set, and for remembering their own PIN. Team EXCITING is not responsible for any inconvenience, missed communication, or inability to access a blocked app resulting from the user's own configuration choices.

6. Age Guidance
The App is intended for a general audience, including use by parents or guardians to help manage a family member's device usage. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Parents and guardians who believe a child has used the App in a manner inconsistent with these Terms may contact us at the address above.

7. Data Collection and Privacy
(a) Data We Collect — The App collects only a device identifier used solely for serving in-app advertisements, processed by third-party advertising providers and used exclusively for ad delivery.
(b) Data We Do Not Collect — App Detox does not collect, store, transmit, or share: the content of other apps; the user's location or GPS data; the user's PIN; personal information beyond the advertising device identifier above; or the specific reasons the user writes when removing a block.
(c) Third-Party Advertising — The App displays ads served by third-party providers, who may collect device identifiers under their own privacy policies. Team EXCITING does not control these providers' data practices.

8. Local Data Storage
All data related to the App's operation — including the user's PIN, blocked app lists, time limit settings, screen time history, and unlock reasons — is stored locally on the user's device only. Team EXCITING has no means of accessing locally stored data. Uninstalling the App may permanently delete this data, depending on device OS and backup settings.

9. Prohibited Conduct
The user agrees not to: attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or circumvent the App's locking or monitoring systems; use the App's Accessibility Service permission for any purpose other than the App's intended app-locking function; or use the App in a manner intended to restrict another person's device without that person's knowledge, where doing so would violate applicable law.

10. Third-Party Services
The App may contain links to social media or external websites. Team EXCITING is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any third-party service linked from the App.

11. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the App, including its design, interface, and branding, are owned by or licensed to Team EXCITING. These Terms grant a limited, personal license to use the App for its intended purpose only.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. Team EXCITING disclaims all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including any warranty that the App's locking mechanism will function without interruption on all devices, operating system versions, or manufacturer configurations.

13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Team EXCITING shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the App, including damages arising from a forgotten PIN, a missed communication due to a blocked app, or a failure of the lock screen to activate on a particular device.

14. Indemnification
The user agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Team EXCITING and its affiliates from claims, damages, or expenses arising from a violation of these Terms or misuse of the App.

15. Changes and Termination
Team EXCITING may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by applicable law. Disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith discussion.

17. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision is found unenforceable, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed without affecting the rest. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the user and Team EXCITING.

1. Overview
App Detox (the "App") is a screen time management and app locking utility that helps you block distracting apps or set daily usage limits. This Privacy Policy explains what data is processed when you use the App, how it is used, and the choices available to you. App Detox is built with privacy in mind and collects only the minimum data necessary to operate the App and serve advertisements.

2. Data We Do Not Collect
Team EXCITING does not operate any server that collects user data. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share: your name, phone number, address, or other personally identifying information; your location or GPS data; the content, screen contents, or usage of any app other than the timing information needed to enforce your own settings; your PIN; the written reasons you enter when removing a block; contacts, SMS, call history, or payment information; or behavioral analytics or crash reports.

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The following is stored only on your device to provide App functionality: your 6-digit PIN (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text); your list of blocked apps and daily time limit settings; your daily screen time history, as measured through Android's Usage Access permission; and app settings and preferences. All of this is managed entirely by your device's operating system. Team EXCITING has no means of accessing this data at any time. Uninstalling the App may delete all local data, depending on device OS behavior and backup settings.

4. Advertising and Device Identifiers
The App displays advertisements served by a third-party advertising provider (Google AdMob). For the sole purpose of ad delivery, the provider may process your device's advertising identifier (Android AAID) and basic device information. This is the only data collection that occurs in connection with the App. Team EXCITING does not receive, access, or store your advertising ID or any ad-related data on any server of our own. All handling of advertising data is governed entirely by the third-party provider's own privacy policy.

You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized advertising at any time:
Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads

5. App Permissions
App Detox requests the following permissions, each used solely for its stated purpose:
(a) Usage Access — to measure how long each app is used each day, so the App can enforce the time limits you set.
(b) Accessibility Service — to detect which app is currently in the foreground, so the App can display a lock screen when a blocked or over-limit app is opened. This permission is not used to read, record, or transmit the content of any other app.
(c) Battery Optimization Exemption — to keep the App's monitoring active in the background.
(d) Internet — required to display advertisements.
App Detox does not request access to your contacts, call history, SMS, microphone, camera, or location.

6. Third-Party Services and Links
The App may contain links to third-party platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Telegram. Accessing these links connects your device directly to those services, and their respective privacy policies apply. Team EXCITING is not responsible for the data practices of any third-party service.

7. Data Retention
Data on your device: retained until you change individual settings, reset the App, or uninstall it.
Advertising data: governed entirely by the third-party provider's retention policy.

8. Security
App Detox relies on platform-level protections, including sandboxed app storage, OS-level permission controls, one-way PIN hashing, and HTTPS encryption for advertising-related network requests. Because the App is designed to transmit virtually no user data, privacy risk is kept to a minimum.

9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of consent established by applicable local law, though it may be used by parents or guardians to help manage a family member's device usage. If you believe a child may have used the App in a manner inconsistent with this Policy, please contact us at corp.exciting@gmail.com and we will take appropriate action.

10. Your Rights and Choices
You may at any time: change the App's settings, blocked app list, or time limits; uninstall the App to delete all locally stored data, including your PIN; reset or limit your advertising ID from device settings; or decline to access any third-party links. Because Team EXCITING does not store personal data on any server, we are unable to fulfill server-side deletion requests for data we do not hold. For data processed by third-party advertising providers, please refer to that provider's own policies and opt-out procedures.

11. GDPR and CCPA Disclosures
GDPR (EU/EEA): Team EXCITING does not process personal data on any server of our own. Any GDPR-relevant data processing is limited to that performed by third-party advertising providers under their own compliance frameworks and consent mechanisms.
CCPA/CPRA (California): Team EXCITING does not sell personal information. You may opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device's advertising ID settings.

12. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in functionality, legal requirements, or third-party policy changes. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
