Article 1. Purpose

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the mobile application Ave AI: Catholic Spiritual Companion (the "App") provided by Corp. Exciting ("Developer", "we", "us"). By installing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Article 2. Service Description

Ave AI is an AI-powered Catholic spiritual companion designed to help users deepen their faith life, pray together, and grow in Catholic tradition.

The App provides:

- AI-guided voice prayer companion including the Rosary, examination of conscience, and personal prayer

- Daily Mass readings sourced from the USCCB liturgical calendar including the Gospel, First Reading, and Responsorial Psalm

- Personal Catholic prayer generator based on user-submitted prayer intentions

- AI spiritual chat for questions about Catholic faith, doctrine, Scripture, and tradition

- Full multilingual support in English, Korean, and Latin

What the App Does NOT Provide:

The App does NOT:

- Act as a priest, confessor, spiritual director, or official representative of the Catholic Church

- Administer, simulate, or replace any Sacrament, including the Sacrament of Reconciliation

- Speak on behalf of the Vatican, any diocese, or any Catholic institution

- Guarantee spiritual outcomes or replace pastoral care from a qualified priest

- Provide licensed theological, legal, medical, or psychological professional advice

Article 3. Communication & Content Disclaimer

The App provides AI-generated spiritual guidance and prayer content based on user input and publicly available Catholic sources.

You acknowledge that:

- All spiritual guidance, prayer suggestions, and faith responses are generated by AI and may vary in accuracy or appropriateness

- Catholic teaching references are based on publicly available sources including the Catechism of the Catholic Church and USCCB resources, and may not reflect the most current magisterial positions

- The App is NOT affiliated with the Vatican, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), or any Catholic diocese or institution

- The App does NOT control or influence decisions made by any Church authority

- The App is intended to assist users in their personal devotional life. Users are solely responsible for how they apply the generated content.

Article 4. AI Service & Limitations

The App uses AI technology to generate prayer guidance, spiritual reflections, and faith responses.

You acknowledge that:

- AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or theological inaccuracies

- Official Catholic prayer texts (Hail Mary, Our Father, Apostles' Creed, etc.) are provided as fixed reference texts; AI-generated content surrounding them may vary

- Voice prayer responses are processed using speech recognition and may be affected by audio quality or recognition limitations

- Outputs are provided for devotional and informational purposes only

- The Developer does not guarantee the theological accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated spiritual content

- For matters of serious spiritual, moral, or sacramental concern, users are strongly encouraged to consult a qualified priest or spiritual director

Article 5. Data Storage & Privacy

Local Data Storage

All user data — including language preferences, theme settings, and conversation history — is stored locally on your device only. The Developer does not store personal user data on its servers.

Prayer Intention Processing

When you submit a prayer intention or message:

- The content is transmitted to third-party AI services solely for the purpose of generating a response

- Content is processed in a transient manner and is not retained by the Developer after processing is complete

- Users should avoid submitting sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary for prayer guidance

AI Processing

To provide AI functionality:

- Only the content of user inputs may be processed

- This data is handled without direct personal identifiers where possible

- Text content may be transmitted to third-party AI providers solely for response generation

No Personal Identification

- The App does not collect personally identifiable information (PII) unless explicitly provided by the user

- The Developer does not have the ability to identify users as individuals

- Third-party AI services do not receive identifiable user identity data

Data Usage Restrictions

The Developer does NOT:

- Sell or share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes

- Use user data for advertising profiling

- Store user prayer intentions or conversation content on external servers beyond what is required for AI processing

Article 6. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services including:

- AI model providers for spiritual chat, prayer generation, and voice prayer guidance

- Speech recognition services for voice prayer functionality

- USCCB and Catholic Readings API for daily liturgical content

- External processing and infrastructure services

These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. The Developer is not responsible for their practices or the accuracy of content sourced from external feeds.

Article 7. User Responsibilities

Users agree to:

- Use the App only for lawful, respectful, and devotional purposes consistent with Catholic values

- Provide appropriate and lawful input in all chat and prayer interactions

- Not use the App for illegal, harmful, abusive, blasphemous, or deceptive activities

- Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or exploit the App or its AI systems

- Seek qualified pastoral care from a priest or spiritual director for matters of serious spiritual or sacramental concern

- Use their own judgment when applying AI-generated spiritual suggestions

Article 8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

- The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind

- The Developer is not responsible for spiritual outcomes or decisions arising from the use of AI-generated content

- The Developer is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App, including damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated prayer guidance, spiritual advice, or faith responses

- The Developer is not liable for any theological inaccuracies in AI-generated content

Article 9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and features of the App are the property of Corp. Exciting. Official Catholic prayer texts (Hail Mary, Our Father, Apostles' Creed, Glory Be, Fatima Prayer, Rosary mysteries) are sourced from publicly available Catholic liturgical tradition and remain the common heritage of the Catholic Church. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

Article 10. Service Changes

The Developer may modify, suspend, or discontinue any features — including voice prayer, daily readings, prayer generation, or spiritual chat — at any time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of such changes.

Article 11. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Users are encouraged to review these Terms regularly.

Article 12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Korea.

Ave AI is built with a privacy-first architecture:

* No account required

* No personal data stored on developer servers

* All user data remains on-device

* Only the content you explicitly enter is processed for AI functionality

2. Data We Collect

A. Data We DO NOT Collect

Corp. Exciting does NOT collect or store the following on its servers:

❌ Name, email address, phone number, or any personal identifiers

❌ Access to your device files, contacts, or photos

❌ Exact location data (GPS)

❌ Device identifiers (IMEI, MAC address)

❌ Prayer intentions, spiritual conversations, or confession-related content on any external server

B. Data Stored Locally (On-Device Only)

Ave AI stores the following only on your device:

3. AI Processing & Data Usage

To provide AI-powered features including voice prayer companion, spiritual chat, and personal prayer generation:

* Only the text you enter is processed

* This content is handled without direct personal identifiers where possible

How It Works

1. Your message or prayer intention is sent via HTTPS

2. It is processed through a secure proxy (Cloudflare)

3. Forwarded to a third-party AI provider (e.g., Groq)

4. A response is generated and returned to your device

Prayer Intention Processing

When you submit a prayer intention or spiritual message:

* The content is transmitted solely for the purpose of generating a prayerful response

* Content is processed transiently and is not retained by the Developer after processing is complete

* We recommend avoiding the inclusion of highly sensitive personal information in your messages

Important Clarifications

✔ Corp. Exciting does NOT store your prayer intentions or spiritual conversations on its servers

✔ Corp. Exciting does NOT use your data to train AI models

✔ Corp. Exciting does NOT log your prayer sessions or faith conversations

User Identity Protection

* No system exists to identify you as an individual

* No account linking, tracking, or profiling

* Third-party AI providers do NOT receive identifiable user identity data

4. Voice Prayer & Speech Processing

Ave AI includes a voice prayer companion feature that uses your device microphone.

Important:

* Microphone access is requested only when you actively start a voice prayer session

* Speech is transcribed locally or via secure transmission solely to generate prayer responses

* The App does NOT record, store, or transmit audio files

* You can revoke microphone permission at any time in your device settings

5. Daily Mass Readings

Ave AI retrieves daily Mass readings from publicly available Catholic liturgical sources (USCCB / Catholic Readings API).

Important:

* No personal data is transmitted when fetching daily readings

* Readings are retrieved via standard HTTPS requests with no user identification

* The App does NOT share your reading activity with any third party

6. Third-Party Services

Ave AI relies on the following third-party services:

* AI model providers (e.g., Groq) for spiritual chat, prayer generation, and voice prayer guidance

* Infrastructure services (e.g., Cloudflare) for secure request proxying

* USCCB and Catholic Readings API for daily liturgical content

* Speech recognition services for voice prayer functionality

These services operate under their own privacy policies. Corp. Exciting is not responsible for their data practices.

7. Data Retention

👉 Uninstalling the app deletes all locally stored data permanently.

8. Security Measures

Ave AI uses:

9. Your Rights & Control

You can:

✔ Delete all data → uninstall the app

✔ Revoke microphone access → adjust permissions in device settings

✔ Control what you share → avoid entering sensitive personal information beyond what is needed for prayer guidance

✔ Contact us → request clarification or raise privacy concerns anytime

10. Protection of children's personal information

Ave AI is aimed at users over the age of 18. However, the content is spiritually concentrated and suitable for all ages. We do not collect children's personal data on purpose. Please let me know if you think the child has submitted his or her personal information through the app. When your child uses the app, be sure to use it with parental guidance. 11. International Data Processing

AI requests may be processed in regions such as the United States.

* All transmissions are encrypted via HTTPS

* Corp. Exciting does not store or transfer personal data internationally

* Third-party AI providers process data under their own applicable data protection frameworks

12. Privacy Policy Updates

We may update this policy to reflect:

* Legal or regulatory changes

* New features such as additional prayer content or language support

* Improvements to AI processing or data handling practices
