From estimating legal costs to analyzing contracts and assessing risks, our app provides fast and accurate legal support for everyone. With just a few taps, you can navigate complex legal processes and find solutions to your problems without needing specialized knowledge.

Article 1. Purpose

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the mobile application LawMate ("App") provided by Corp. Exciting ("Developer", "we", "us"). By installing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the App.

Article 2. Service Description

LawMate is a reference application that provides AI-generated general legal information based on publicly available U.S. federal regulations, including the Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (eCFR) maintained by the National Archives. The App provides:

AI-based chat responses to general legal information questions

A cost estimation calculator that provides AI-explained, non-binding fee estimates

A document/contract scanning feature that highlights potentially notable clauses for the user's own review

Browsable categories organized by general legal subject area

A country selector allowing users to choose which country's publicly available legal information they wish to reference

A premium subscription that removes advertisements

What the App Does NOT Provide. The App does NOT:

Provide legal advice, legal representation, or attorney-client services of any kind

Constitute the practice of law in any jurisdiction, including the United States, South Korea, Japan, or any other country

Act as, replace, or represent a licensed attorney, law firm, or legal professional

Guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or current validity of any regulation, statute, or legal information referenced

Verify the applicability of any information to a user's specific legal situation

Collect or require any personal account information to use the App

Article 3. Nature of AI-Generated Content (IMPORTANT)

You expressly acknowledge and agree that:

LawMate is not a lawyer, law firm, or legal representative, and no attorney-client relationship is created by use of the App.

Responses generated by the AI may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unintentionally misleading. Laws and regulations change frequently, and AI-generated text may not reflect the most current legal status.

Citations to regulations such as the eCFR are provided for reference and convenience only. Users should independently verify any cited regulation directly through the official source before relying on it.

Content generated within the App, including the Cost Calculator and Risk Analyzer, is intended solely as a general informational and organizational aid. It must NOT be relied upon as a substitute for consultation with a licensed attorney.

The Developer does not review, moderate in real time, or guarantee the appropriateness or accuracy of every individual AI-generated response, although reasonable safety measures are applied to the underlying AI service.

You may use the in-app "Report" feature to flag any response you believe is inaccurate or inappropriate.

Article 4. In-App Subscription (LawMate Pro)

LawMate offers an optional auto-renewing subscription ("LawMate Pro") purchased through the Google Play Store billing system. By purchasing LawMate Pro, you acknowledge and agree that:

Subscription Benefits. LawMate Pro removes all advertisements displayed within the App for the duration of the active subscription.

Billing and Renewal. The subscription automatically renews at the price and interval displayed at the time of purchase, unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Google Play account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Google Play Store subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are provided for the unused portion of a billing cycle, except as required by applicable law or Google Play policy.

No Developer-Side Refunds. All payments are processed exclusively through Google Play. The Developer does not directly process payments or issue refunds; refund requests must be submitted through Google Play's refund policies.

Price Changes. The Developer reserves the right to change subscription pricing for future billing periods. Where required by law or by Google Play policy, users will be notified of price changes in advance and may cancel before the new price takes effect.

Loss of Access. If a subscription is canceled, expires, or payment fails, the ad-free experience will end at the conclusion of the current billing period, and the App will revert to its free-tier functionality.

Article 5. Data Storage & Privacy

No Account Required: The App does not require account creation, sign-up, or login of any kind, whether using the free tier or LawMate Pro.

Subscription Data: Purchase and subscription status is managed by Google Play and the App's subscription infrastructure provider (Adapty) solely to verify entitlement to premium features; this data is not used for advertising or shared with unrelated third parties.

Article 6. Third-Party AI Service Data Transmission Disclosure

Types of data transmitted: User's selected country, question text entered in AI Legal Chat, text submitted for contract/document risk scanning, and the following inputs for the Cost Calculator: case details, hourly rate, case importance, and expert witness costs.

Data recipients: Third-party vendors, including LLM and infrastructure providers such as Llama AI, Groq, DeepInfra, and Cloudflare.

User consent: By using this app, users automatically consent to the data transmission described above.

Note: No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected at any point, including through registration, external login, or local login functions, as the App does not offer any such functions.

Future compliance: Should the App begin collecting personally identifiable data (e.g., through account registration), such practices will be disclosed in accordance with applicable international law.

Article 7. User Responsibilities

Users agree to:

Use the App for lawful personal, informational purposes only

Not treat AI-generated responses as verified legal advice, and not act on any information provided without independent verification

Not use the App to generate, request, or distribute content that is unlawful, harassing, or exploitative

Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, scrape, or exploit the App, its AI integration, or its data pipeline

Not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit the App's design, code, or features

Seek consultation with a licensed attorney for any actual legal matter, dispute, filing, or decision

Article 8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied

The Developer is not responsible for any decisions, actions, or outcomes resulting from reliance on AI-generated content within the App

The Developer is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the App, including damages resulting from inaccurate AI responses, service interruption, or billing issues related to third-party payment processors

Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the App is to stop using it and, where applicable, cancel your subscription through Google Play

Article 9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and features of the App are the property of Corp. Exciting. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

Article 10. Service Changes

The Developer may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App, including specific practice area categories or subscription benefits, at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of such changes.

Article 11. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated periodically. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Article 12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Korea.

Overview

LawMate ("App") is a reference application that provides AI-generated general legal information based on publicly available regulations. LawMate is built with a privacy-first architecture:

No account required

No conversation content stored on developer servers

Minimal data shared with subscription infrastructure, solely to verify premium access

Minimal data shared with advertising infrastructure, solely to display ads

Data We Collect

A. Data We DO NOT Collect

Corp. Exciting does NOT collect or store the following on its servers:

❌ Name, email address, phone number, or any personal identifiers

❌ The content of your AI Legal Chat conversations, Cost Calculator inputs, or scanned documents, for storage purposes

❌ Bank account or full payment card information of any kind

❌ Contacts, photos, or device personal files

❌ Exact location data (GPS)

❌ Device identifiers (IMEI, MAC address)

B. Data Stored Locally (On-Device Only)

LawMate stores the following only on your device:

Important: Your Conversations Never Leave Your Device for Storage

Your chat history and Cost Calculator data are stored exclusively on your device. Corp. Exciting does not operate a server that permanently stores this content. We cannot see, access, or recover your locally stored data under any circumstances.

Data Transmission

To generate AI responses, LawMate sends your message text, document/contract text submitted for scanning, and Cost Calculator inputs to a Cloudflare Worker operated by the Developer, which forwards the request to a third-party AI model provider to generate a reply.

✔ Data is transmitted only to generate a real-time response and is not stored by the Developer afterward

✔ No account information, device identifiers, or personal profiles are attached to these requests

✔ The Developer does not use this content for advertising, profiling, research, or any purpose other than generating the requested reply

✔ This content is not provided or sold to any third party for any purpose other than generating the requested AI response

In-App Subscription Data (LawMate Pro)

LawMate offers an optional subscription ("LawMate Pro") processed through Google Play Billing and managed using the subscription infrastructure provider Adapty. In connection with this feature:

Purpose Limitation: Purchase and entitlement data (active, expired, canceled status, and purchase timestamps) is processed solely to determine whether you have access to the ad-free experience. It is not used for any other purpose.

No Card Details Collected by the Developer: All payment information (card numbers, billing address) is handled directly by Google Play; the Developer never receives or stores your payment card details.

Device/Anonymous Identifier: Adapty may associate an anonymous, app-generated identifier with your purchase to restore your subscription across app reinstalls on the same device or Google account. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or app content.

Not Shared: Subscription data is not used for advertising and is not shared with unrelated third parties.

Advertising

LawMate uses Google AdMob to display advertisements to free-tier users. AdMob may collect certain device information including:

Advertising ID (GAID)

Device type and OS version

General location (country/region level)

Ad interaction data

This data is collected and processed by Google LLC under their own Privacy Policy, solely for the purpose of displaying and measuring advertisements. Corp. Exciting does not have access to or control over the data collected by AdMob, and does not use this data for any purpose beyond ad display. Users who purchase LawMate Pro no longer see advertisements, and ad-related data collection for those users stops accordingly.

👉 Uninstalling the app, or clearing data in Settings, deletes the corresponding locally stored data permanently.

Security Measures

LawMate uses:

Secure app sandbox storage (SharedPreferences) for chat history and app state

No server-side database of conversation or document content

Industry-standard subscription infrastructure (Adapty) and Google Play Billing for payment processing, neither of which exposes payment details to the Developer

Token-based authentication between the app and the Developer's Cloudflare Worker to prevent unauthorized access to the AI response service

Your Rights & Control

You can:

✔ Delete your data → clear chat history or Cost Calculator data, or uninstall the app to remove all data

✔ Manage or cancel your subscription → via Google Play Store subscription settings at any time

✔ Opt out of personalized ads → via device settings

✔ Report inaccurate content → via the in-app Report feature

✔ Contact us → request clarification anytime

Children's Privacy

LawMate is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

International Data Processing

LawMate does not transmit conversation, document, or personal data internationally for storage. Data sent to generate an AI response is processed transiently through the Developer's Cloudflare Worker and a third-party AI provider to produce a reply, and is not retained afterward. Subscription and entitlement data may be processed internationally by Adapty and Google Play in accordance with their respective privacy policies. Ad-related data processed by Google AdMob may also be transmitted internationally in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

LawMate's responses are generated in real time by an AI model based on publicly available legal and regulatory information. This content:

May be inaccurate, outdated, or unintentionally misleading

Is provided for general informational and reference purposes only and is NOT legal advice, and does NOT constitute the practice of law or representation by an attorney

Should not be treated as verified, current, or complete legal information for any specific situation

Corp. Exciting is not responsible for:

Decisions made based on AI-generated content within the App

The accuracy or appropriateness of every individual AI-generated response

Third-party AdMob, Adapty, or Google Play data practices
