iAnimals (“iAnimals”, “the App”) is an animal identification and card-creation app. This Privacy Policy explains what data is processed when you use the App, how it is used, and what choices you have.
iAnimals may provide the following features:
Photo capture or photo import to identify an animal
AI-assisted animal identification and “animal card” creation (e.g., common/scientific name, confidence, summary, traits, tags, look-alikes, tips)
“Safety mode” guidance generated from a short Q&A flow (general Do/Don’t guidance, distance tips, warning signs, escalation triggers)
In-app guidance and usage tips
Settings links (Privacy Policy, Terms, social channels, developer/app collection, emergency alerts)
The App is designed to minimize data collection and primarily relies on on-device storage.
iAnimals does not operate a user account system and does not require you to provide:
Name, phone number, address, government ID
Contacts, SMS, call logs
Precise location data (GPS)
Payment information (handled by app stores)
To provide core functionality, the App may store the following locally on your device:
Animal cards you create (structured fields such as names, confidence, summary, tags, tips, look-alikes, and safety content if generated)
Your optional note text entered during creation (if you use it)
The photo file you selected/captured (saved as an image file path used by your card UI)
App preferences (e.g., theme, UI preferences, or other settings if implemented)
Note: If you uninstall the App, locally stored data is typically removed with it (depending on OS behavior and backups).
When you use AI features, the App must send limited content to generate results:
Animal identification: your submitted image (or image data) and optional note text
Safety mode: your animal name (from the card) and your answers to short questions (text)
How AI requests are handled
The App sends your request to a proxy endpoint operated by Team EXCITING (e.g., Cloudflare Workers) to keep the AI service API key hidden from the app client.
The proxy forwards your request to a third-party AI processing provider (e.g., Groq) to generate the result and returns the result back to your device.
What Team EXCITING stores
Team EXCITING does not require accounts and does not intentionally store your submitted images or your AI prompts/results on Team EXCITING servers as a user profile or database.
However, infrastructure providers (e.g., Cloudflare) may process basic request metadata (such as IP address, timestamps, and request size) for security, rate limiting, debugging, and abuse prevention. This is typically governed by the infrastructure provider’s policies and configuration.
Third-party AI processing
The third-party AI provider may process request content to generate outputs, and their policies apply to that processing.
The App may include links to third-party destinations such as:
Privacy Policy / Terms pages
YouTube / Instagram / TikTok
“Our Apps” collection page
Telegram (emergency alerts / announcements)
When you open these links:
your device connects directly to the third-party service,
that service may collect data (e.g., IP address, device info, account data if you log in),
their policies apply, not ours.
iAnimals may have multiple builds/versions. If you distribute a free, ad-supported build, it may include advertising or analytics SDKs (e.g., Google AdMob). These third parties may process:
Advertising ID (AAID / IDFA)
Basic device info (model, OS version, language/region)
General app usage signals needed for ad delivery/measurement
Team EXCITING does not operate a user account system and does not intentionally store raw advertising identifiers in a user database. Processing is handled by the third-party SDK according to their policies. If your build is not ad-supported, these SDKs may not be present.
We process data only to:
create and display animal cards in the App
store your cards and preferences locally on your device
generate AI results when you request them (identification and/or safety mode)
open external links you choose to tap
(if enabled) deliver and measure ads / analytics in ad-supported builds
We do not sell personal data.
We may share limited data only as necessary to operate the App:
AI processing providers: to generate results you request (image/text prompts and answers)
Infrastructure providers (proxy/CDN/security): to route requests securely and prevent abuse
Advertising/analytics providers (if enabled): to deliver ads or measure performance
We do not share data for a user-profile database because the App does not use accounts.
Permissions vary by OS and the features you use:
Camera: to take a photo for identification
Photos/Media library: to select an existing image
Internet: to use AI features and open external links (and load ads if enabled)
Storage (implicit via app sandbox): to save and display locally stored images/cards
The App does not require access to contacts, call logs, SMS, microphone, or precise location for core functionality.
On-device cards and images: retained until you delete them, clear app data (if supported), or uninstall the App
AI request content: processed to generate outputs; retention (if any) by third-party AI providers or infrastructure services is governed by their policies
Ads/analytics (if enabled): retention is governed by the third-party provider’s policies
iAnimals relies on platform protections such as:
sandboxed app storage
OS permission controls
encrypted transport (HTTPS) for AI requests and external links (where supported)
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we aim to follow reasonable security practices.
iAnimals is not intended for children under the age where parental consent is required by local law. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the App, contact us at corp.exciting@gmail.com.
You can:
delete individual cards (and associated local files, depending on implementation)
delete all cards using the in-app delete option (if available)
uninstall the App to remove locally stored data
control permissions (camera/photos/network) via device settings
avoid using AI features (the App will not send AI requests unless you trigger them)
choose not to open third-party links
reset/limit advertising ID and ad personalization via device settings (if ads are enabled)
If you request deletion of data that we do not store on our servers, we may be unable to fulfill server-side deletion requests (because we do not have the data). For third-party processing (AI providers, ads/analytics), you may need to review the provider’s policy.
If an AI provider, ad network, or third-party service processes data on servers located outside your country, your data may be transferred internationally under that provider’s terms and safeguards.
We may update this Privacy Policy due to:
feature changes (e.g., adding/removing SDKs, changing AI providers)
legal or regulatory updates
third-party policy changes
The “Last Updated” date will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the App indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
For privacy questions or concerns, contact: corp.exciting@gmail.com
GDPR (EU/EEA): If ads are enabled, some processing may rely on consent flows managed by third-party providers where required.
CCPA/CPRA (California): We do not sell personal information. Third-party SDKs (if enabled) may process data under their policies; users can control ad personalization via device settings.
