Terms of Service
Last Updated: March 4, 2026 App: BluTalk Developer/Operator: Team EXCITING Support: corp.exciting@gmail.com Version: v1.0.0+1
1. Nature of the Service
BluTalk is a serverless, peer-to-peer mesh communication app developed and operated by Team EXCITING. The app enables direct device-to-device communication over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi without any central server, internet connection, or carrier network.
BluTalk provides the following features:
Real-time peer-to-peer text messaging via TCP socket and UDP multicast discovery
Direct messages and group channels (e.g., #mesh, #local, #city)
Image and file transfer directly between devices
Multi-hop mesh relay messages are relayed through intermediate devices using TTL-based routing
Local push notifications for incoming messages
Panic Mode an instant full data wipe triggered by a long-press gesture
BluTalk does NOT:
Operate or maintain any central server to relay, store, or process user communications
Guarantee delivery of messages or files in all device or network conditions
Provide emergency calling (e.g., 911/112) or function as a replacement for carrier-based emergency services
Encrypt communications end-to-end by default data is transmitted in plaintext over the local mesh network
Guarantee connection quality, range, or throughput performance depends on hardware, distance, and interference
Important: BluTalk is a local mesh communication utility, not a licensed telecommunications service. In any emergency, always contact official emergency services (911, 112, or your national equivalent) immediately.
2. Usage & Safety Notice
You agree to use BluTalk responsibly and lawfully. In particular:
Do not rely solely on BluTalk for life-safety decisions. Always follow official local emergency instructions.
Do not use the app while driving, operating machinery, or in any situation where phone usage is unsafe or illegal.
Do not use BluTalk for any unlawful purpose, including harassment, illegal surveillance, or transmission of illegal content.
Message delivery is not guaranteed. Performance depends on Bluetooth/Wi-Fi signal strength, device capabilities, and the number of intermediate relay devices.
Panic Mode wipe is irreversible. Once triggered, all locally stored data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
BluTalk operates over unencrypted local connections by default. Do not transmit highly sensitive information on untrusted networks.
3. Limitation of Liability
Team EXCITING is not responsible for, and does not guarantee:
Successful delivery of messages or files in all conditions
Identical functionality across all devices, Android OS versions, or hardware configurations
Any decisions, outcomes, or actions taken by users based on information communicated through the app
Data loss resulting from Panic Mode activation, app deletion, or device failure
Any device behavior including battery drain, performance degradation, or OS-level interference with Bluetooth/Wi-Fi functionality
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Team EXCITING bears no liability for direct or indirect damages arising from use of BluTalk, including but not limited to:
Failed message delivery or file transfer errors
Harm or losses resulting from reliance on app-provided communication
Unexpected crashes, permission failures, or connection drops
Data loss or privacy exposure resulting from use on untrusted local networks
Consequences of Panic Mode activation, whether intentional or accidental
Use of BluTalk is entirely at your own risk. Team EXCITING provides the app on an "as-is" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
4. Data & Privacy
BluTalk is designed to operate as a fully on-device utility with no backend server.
The app may store the following information locally on your device using SharedPreferences:

Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 4, 2026 App: BluTalk Developer/Operator: Team EXCITING Support: corp.exciting@gmail.com Version: v1.0.0+1
1. Overview
BluTalk is a serverless peer-to-peer mesh communication app engineered with a privacy-first architecture: no account system, no backend server, no data collection by Team EXCITING. All core features — messaging and file transfer — run entirely on your device and communicate directly with other nearby devices over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. No data is routed through Team EXCITING infrastructure.
2. Data We Collect
A. Data Team EXCITING Does NOT Collect
Team EXCITING does not collect or store any of the following:
Personal identifiers — name, email address, phone number, home address
Message content — text, images, or files sent or received via BluTalk
Contact lists — peer contacts are stored only on your local device
Device identifiers — IMEI, MAC address, or advertising identifiers
Precise location data — BluTalk does not request or store GPS location
Usage analytics — we do not track how or when you use the app
Crash logs — no analytics or crash reporting SDK is currently integrated
No Server by Default: BluTalk currently has no Team EXCITING server for storing your personal data. All core features run locally on your device.
B. Data Stored Locally on Your Device (On-Device Only)
BluTalk may store the following locally via SharedPreferences:
Message history (up to 500 recent messages)
Peer contact list and online/offline status cache
Channel membership and preferences
User nickname and randomly generated local device ID
Notification settings and UI preferences
This data remains on your device at all times. Team EXCITING has no access to it. Uninstalling the app or triggering Panic Mode removes all locally stored data permanently.
C. Mesh Network Metadata
Because BluTalk uses peer-to-peer protocols (TCP/UDP over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth), the following may be visible to other devices on your local mesh as an inherent property of the protocol:
Local IP address (within the local Wi-Fi network)
Device nickname (as set by you in BluTalk)
TCP connection metadata (connection timing, data size)
This information is not collected or stored by Team EXCITING. It is only visible to devices actively participating in the same local mesh session.
D. Future SDK Integration
If third-party analytics or crash reporting SDKs are added in a future release, this policy will be updated before deployment to describe what data is collected, by whom, and for what purpose.
3. Required Permissions & Purpose
Permission

POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Optional
Local push notifications for incoming messages. Can be disabled at any time.
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES
Optional
Required only when you choose to share an image via the file picker.
Note: Android requires location permission to scan for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct devices. BluTalk does not access, read, or store your GPS location at any time.
4. How Your Data Is Processed
All message history, peer contacts, channel preferences, and settings are stored and processed locally on your device. No data is synchronized, backed up, or transmitted to any server.
When you send a message or file, it is transmitted directly to the recipient device over the local Bluetooth/Wi-Fi mesh. Data may pass through intermediate relay devices (mesh hops) but is never routed through Team EXCITING infrastructure.
Team EXCITING has:
No account system — no credentials are created or stored
No cloud backups — no data is uploaded to any cloud service
No remote logs — Team EXCITING cannot access your message history or preferences
No analytics server — usage patterns and session data are never transmitted
5. Security Measures
BluTalk relies on the following platform-level protections:
Sandboxed app storage — SharedPreferences data is accessible only by BluTalk
Permission-based access controls — sensitive hardware is accessed only when explicitly needed
Panic Mode — instant irreversible wipe of all locally stored data on demand
No persistent identifiers — device IDs are randomly generated locally and not linked to any external identity
Important: BluTalk does not currently implement end-to-end encryption for messages. Communications are transmitted in plaintext over the local mesh. Do not transmit highly sensitive information on untrusted or shared Wi-Fi networks.
For best security:
Keep your Android OS updated
Review and revoke permissions you no longer need
Use Panic Mode before disposing of or transferring your device
6. Your Rights & Choices
Because BluTalk stores all data locally and Team EXCITING holds no personal data on its servers, you have full and direct control over your data at all times:
Delete all data: Uninstall the app — all locally stored data is permanently removed
Instant wipe: Use Panic Mode (long-press the BluTalk logo) to erase all data immediately
Disable notifications: Turn off push notifications in device settings at any time
Change nickname: Update your display name at any time in Settings
As Team EXCITING holds no personal data, there is no formal data access, portability, or deletion request process — you own and control your data directly on your own device.

8. Policy Updates
This policy may be updated due to legal or regulatory changes, new features involving data collection, or changes to third-party SDKs. The revision date will always be displayed at the top of this policy. Continued use of BluTalk after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If future updates involve any new collection of personal data, we will provide prominent in-app notice and obtain consent where required by law before any such collection begins.
