Donate Life

Doodle for Google

These are my artworks for Doodle for Google and a Donate Life Awareness piece. The donate life piece is a human heart that is held by two people; one is more healthier as the other isn't. It represents a deceased person donating their heart to someone in need. I thought this would be a cool idea and I wanted to do something creative. The Doodle for Google has to do with what I want to be when I grow up which is a Medical Laboratory Scientist. It consists of a screen, test tube, a pulse, goggles and a microscope. For the Donate Life poster, I used watercolor and pen as for the Doodle for Google, I used colored pens, markers, and colored pencil. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for each piece, and it took lots of brainstorming for me to come up with my ideas. I originally was going to have a more complex background for my Donate Life poster, but decided it would look cleaner if it was something simple like a color. I thought green would pop out the red in the heart more which is why I chose it. To be honest, I'm not too happy with my goggles in my Doodle for google because I feel like they don't look accurate. I tried the best I could to make them look like goggles, but I am really proud of my microscope. I feel like it looks pretty accurate and also looks like a G in "Google." I didn't really know what to put on my Donate Life poster which is why I went for a simple statement saying "Consider Organ and Tissue Donation." Overall, I'm happy with how both my pieces turned out.
