Candy Still Life

This is my candy still life. There are whoppers, a lollipop, wrappers, and sweet tarts. I used colored pencil mostly in my drawing but also gel pens for the sweet tart wrapper. I decided to use gel pens because they were very vibrant and the pen colors matched the wrapper colors very well. I also used gel pen to create a triangle pattern in the background. I chose to use this candies because I wanted a variety of colors, plus I thought using a circular candy (whoppers) would be interesting. At first I wasn't going to have a background, but I didn't like how much white there was so I used a colored pencil to make it purple. It still wasn't enough for me which is why I added the triangles and I love how it looks. There is no meaning in this piece other than candy and there isn't really a story either. I wouldn't change anything about this drawing because I love how it looks. Help from Ms. Medsker's definitely improved my piece as well.
