Digital Art

This is my Inclusion artwork and also my first digital art piece I have made for this class. I drew on an iPad using the application procreate. The composition is the earth, which we all live on, with stick figures surrounding it. Some of the stick figures have mini imperfections such as no arm, no leg, etc to bring out the inclusion aspect while "connecting" everyone together with a heart. I wanted to originally have a landscape of buildings that are all applicable for anyone with disabilities so everyone is included while living their daily life. I'm blessed to live life the way I do, which may be easier than others. I wanted the buildings to all be accessible, and kind of just show a life with mini alters to benefit every person, whether thats with someone with a disability or not. The buildings are are simple and clean, and I decided to make them colorful to make them pop out, and I also wanted to following the inclusion aspect and include as many colors as I could, so I went with the rainbow. The background was a last minute decision, I wasn't sure what color the background should be, but I didn't want to take away any exposure to the earth or building figures. I thought since I'm drawing the earth, It would make sense to have the galaxy behind it, and thats what I did. I used different techniques to layer colors and add dimension, also adding some stars to add something special and I think the dark background with the bright features in the front made everything pop out. I lastly decided to write "We the community" to show that this drawing follows along the line of being apart of a community, and being included in something special. Although this was my first digital art piece, I don't think It will be my last. I love how clean everything looks and how easy adding certain proponents are since the materials are endless. Overall, I'm super happy with how this turned out. I had no idea what I wanted to make for this project, and I was really stuck on how to portray a community, but I think I was able to show what I wanted.
