Assemblage Sculpture

This is my Assemblage Sculpture of my French Bulldog, Prince Blue. I made this using cardboard, magazine scraps, felt, and paper. I love my dog, and my family does too, especially my Dad. For his birthday, I gave him the charcoal and Ink drawing of my dog and he loved it. Fathers day is coming up and I thought of making him a sculpture of Prince would be perfect. Originally, I was going to add eyes, but as I was experimenting around with them, my project started to look sort of creepy in a way, so I didn't add any and I think that was the best decision. It was so fun to stack the cardboard up and have lots of layers. I stacked up the nose part and also ears and I love how they pop out. In between layers, I added small pieces of cardboard so they stick out even more. My favorite part of my dog is his nose, I think it's so cute so making it with cardboard was so fun. I already think that my project is pretty strong, but I wish I would have been more neater with the hot glue because its sort of messy. You can see strings and small dots of them, and If I got to do this project again, I would focus more on the neatness.
