Comments
Before installing Windows 7, remove all partitions from hard drive with Linux installation disc (without installing Linux yet) or Windows 7 may install another Windows 7 partition to the same hard drive.
Remove Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro and D-Link DGE-528T before installing Windows 7 and Blackmagic/D-Link drivers for Windows 7.

Installation location
Before deleting all existing partitions and creating a Windows partition the partition list looks something like this:
Name Total size Free Space Type
Disk 0 Unallocated Space 931.5 GB 931.5 GB
After deleting all existing partitions and creating a Windows partition (approximately 700 GB for Windows and 300 GB for Linux) the partition list looks something like this:
Name Total size Free Space Type
Disk 0 Partition 1: System Reserved 100.0 MB 86.0 MB System
Disk 0 Partition 2 683.5 GB 683.5 GB Primary
Disk 0 Unallocated Space 247.9 GB 247.9 GB
Comments: I have problems partitioning Wings desktop with Linux, so I use Windows 7 to create a partition for Windows and leave free space for Linux.
