The traders are tall, slim and have very long ears. While they also tend to be wary, they are confident enough to keep calm and take control as much as possible. Unlike their farming counterparts, they don't live underground, and are more active during the day. Because of this, and their more outgoing and charismatic nature, they usually go to towns to trade or sell the crops of the farmers. They also act as sentries and watch over the orchards, and by extension the entire territory.
TL;DR: Farmers are anthropomorphic rabbits. Traders are anthropomorphic hares.
It is important to keep in mind that this is not, however, a strong and exact division. Some farmers might show traits normally associated with traders, and vice versa. Both in terms of behavior and physical appearance. They belong to the same family after all.
Reproduction
Yutu are naturally mammals and, commonly, monogamous. They reach sexual maturity quite early, between the twelve and thirteen years of age, but don't reproduce until around ten years later. Their courtship rituals appear to involve boxing and games of tag. Pregnancy lasts around four months, and ends with live births of either two or three babies, rarely one. They usually give birth to either two or three litters throughout their lives, but there might be cases of four and even five. I mean, seriously, I wouldn't question their fertility at all.
Overpopulation isn't an issue due to the habit of the older children to leave their natal burrows to look for new ones to call their own.
Diet
Yutu feed on various plants and berries, they are not picky eaters. Some like vegetables such as lettuce, cucumbers and radishes. Others are more inclined to fruits like oranges, apples and raspberries. Since most of these aren't usually available in their habitat, they might either get seeds through trading or outright steal from human farms (which luckily isn't as frequent as the trading option).
Yes, they eat and like carrots too, but would rather not mention it because they are not fond of stereotype jokes.

The farmers are short and round. Their ears are long, but not very much. Their behavior is mostly shy and reclusive, limiting their interactions to others of their same kind, whereas other species might be either avoided or treated with wariness. They spend most of the time underground in labyrinthine burrows, and only come out after dusk to sow, reap, or just tend to the growing crops. They also perform little religious ceremonies sometimes as well, such as praying for good harvests.
There are two varieties, usually classified by their jobs: Farmers and Traders.
Description
They are very hard to spot and even harder to catch. If they are not already hidden, they will quickly outrun any threatening presence as soon as they sense it. While they don't tend to be confrontational, one should watch out for their terrible kicks.
Yutu are leporid monsters who primarily inhabit meadows, but are also known to prefer wooded areas. They specialize in agriculture and marketing, but are mostly appreciated by their cleaning skills and cuteness nowadays.
