Bora loved her new friends a lot! They were such interesting people and had such colorful lives. They got to answer these things called phones all night, which was great! They rang and then her friends picked them up and said hello, how can I help you, and then, bam! They got to have a chat about technology! It was amazing! They didn’t always seem to like doing that, but she figured they’d been doing this for so long they must be getting bored. It sounded like people always called with the same problems, so it wasn’t like there was a real challenge to things. She couldn’t make up her mind what would help her friends more, if she made things for interesting or if she took a phone, too, and joined in the answering!
She guessed the helping one would be best. Cobb was pretty busy when he wasn’t here at work, after all, and maybe he liked the break these boring calls gave him. That way he could dedicate his time to finding all the neat things he liked to bring into his home. She loved to see all the fun toys he found, they were so cool. She’d asked him to bring her metal things when he could and, every now and then, she’d get a new thing to play with. Most of them were so strange and wonderful, she was sure she hadn’t run into them before.
The past was still a tricky subject for her, she had lost so much and, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t put it back together. There were too many pieces missing and too many blank spots she couldn’t guess at. Still, she wasn’t unhappy here with her new friends.
