“Hey, hi, hold on! I heard you got hurt the other day.” She skidded to a stop and shoved the bag in his direction. “Everyone at the theater signed a card and sends their best wishes. We were all pretty worried when we heard both of you almost died.”
Pretty worried was an understatement. Everyone in the theater went on high alert when they found out those two had gotten in an accident. It was impossible to blame them. Gaspar and Zephyr both had a natural charisma to them that drew people to their sides. Molly was well aware of how effective it was. It wasn’t just their looks, it was how friendly and outgoing they were. Even when they teased people, it felt like everyone was part of a joke, even the person they were poking fun at.
Sure, they could get carried away with ideas and shenanigans, but Molly knew someone around here had to. It kept the actors on their toes and made them think. It was a good thing most of the time. Not so much at times like this, when she had to talk to Zephyr face to face. Public speaking in general was not one of her major skills.
“There’s two cards in there, and a little loaf of bread.” She paused and looked from the bag back to the birdman. “That’s for you. I was testing out a recipe earlier. It’s ok.”
Yeah, the sooner she was out of this conversation the better. She was no wordsmith when it came to the spoken arts.
