Physical Description
The corave are a large avian race with white feathers and four wings. They typically dye their feathers different colors as a way of expressing themselves, attracting a mate, and making a larger impression on those who visit their forest.
Wind Magic
Corave have a natural understanding of wind magic and how to manipulate air currents to their best advantage. They use it to their advantage when it comes to moving quietly and hiding their presence from visitors or from prey. Some of the ancient masters were said to cause great windstorms capable of knocking branches from trees and blowing some of the less sturdy trees over.

Families
Corave are good about keeping in contact with their families. They have well established family connections and keep each other updated on recent events and happenings through visits and letters. Even the least social corave tend to feel bound to their families and the expectations that come with it.
Living Spaces
Dwelling spaces vary depending on where the corave lives. The ones that live in forests tend to weave together elaborate nests, decorating them with wards to keep unwanted guests away.
Those who live in cities with disguises take up the local dwelling styles.
Personal Decoration
Dying their feathers is one of the most important traditions the corave have. It is used as a means of self expression, a way of catching the attention of a mate, and an advertisement of what the individual is like. These colors are so important to the corave that there is an understanding among the general community about what certain colors say about an individual.

Bird Hunts
A part of the past that has lingering effects on the community as a whole.Their feathers were sought after as decorations, lucky charms, and writing implements by other species. They are considered especially useful thanks to their slight white opalescence and their ability to absorb colors and dyes so well. They are considered a very valuable commodity these days.
Death Traditions
Perhaps owing to their proximity to the limulenth, the corave have a relaxed view on death. They follow the belief that, once someone has died, their body loses its connection to the person that once inhabited it. After a member of corave society dies, those who knew them take anywhere from one day to a week to celebrate the life of the deceased. What happens to the body remains up to the family, though, when there is little food around most of the dead are eaten.
When there is plenty of food around, it is not uncommon for family members to mummify or preserve the dead's bodies in some way and use them as decoration around their nests. This is used as a way of warding of predators who try breaking into their nests.

Reproduction
Corave tend to mate for life, and begin courtship early into their adolescence. It's common for them to have a set partner by age fourteen and already have a territory staked out and a nest built for raising their family. All females lay two to three eggs once a year in mid December and incubate them over the next few months. Once the eggs hatch, the female and male both protect the hatchlings, bringing them food and keeping them warm and safe.
