monotone deadpan dream god.Background
Personality
Rocco speaks in a low deadpan monotone that's easy to overlook, and he seems almost incapable of showing emotions. not that he doesn't have them, but everything about his personality being has been muted down and grayscaled due to the nature of his entrapment.
This likely will change as he's gotten the missing peice of him back, but the overall state of being he's stuck with is rather grim.
Personal History
Rocco was born as a relatively normal mortal Shadowkin/Glospiker hybrid in the forest of shadows With the name of Eran. He excelled in dream weaving and regular weaving, perhaps the best in the forest at the time. he lived a normal life up until the dream island incident hit.
he was not actually pulled under at first, he eventually tried to investigate the event very late into it and it dragged him under with the rest. determined to break this weird curse, he stepped out of the safe area and battled the entire island, trying to figure out how to break the hold it had on everyone. this eventually lead him to the center of the island and the nightmare that lay within. he challenged it, battled, and eventually defeated the great evil. but the nightmare wouldn't go so quietly, and struck a final blow, effectively severing him from the real world and taking most of his color and life force with it as it was cast off. Rocco was left devastated and broken, while his form recovered with the help of his powers, he could not regain what had been taken and has been searching for the nightmare's remnants ever since to try and take himself back from it.
it's been a very long time.
Recent times have left him encountering a number of mortals, refinding the nightmare, and finally being able to rip out the part of himself that the creature took. unfortunately despite having it back, it's all but useless in it's current state, he has no mortality to return to. He's a bit lost now, but he's got people who care about him, so he'll probubly be ok.
Abilities and Powers
Rocco has the most complete and masterful dreamweaving of any known creature, having constantly used and practiced it for many many years. in the dreamworld, this has elevated him to the same level as a god.
He has an incredibly vivid colored aura that tends to permeate and repair the dreamverse around him. this arua does not effect himself in any way, leaving him a dark spot on an otherwise lovely area.
Relationships
Agatha: a nice talented dreamweaver, she's one of the few that have consistently and successfully tracked him down in the dream realm over the years and was determined to spend time with him despite everything. he appreciates her a lot, honestly. and enjoys her company.
Alteer: The great forest spirit that watched over the shadow forest. he remembers her, but not too well at this point.
Audrey: One of the two strange creatures that Rocco seems to keep running into. Audrey has in particular sniffed him out multiple times. Both have taken to dragging him off into weird shenanigans. Audrey is the more calm and overall friendly of the two.
Chris: A little shadow. Chris likes climbing over him, which Rocco doesn't mind
Gru: Chris brought this one to talk to him, and in doing so he found a path to the nightmare. despite trying to explain why this thing had to die, Gru didn't agree to it.
Raz: The Nightmare. This thing has caused untold suffering for him and many many other people. Rocco has a lot of hatered for this thing, but it does infact seem to have changed and grown into.. something better. He let it live. He's still not sure that was the right thing to do.
Rupert: The other of the two creatures that he keeps running into. Rocco has taken to teaching rupert a bit of weaving as it's gotten embarrasing whenever he tries to headlong rush into things and get rebuffed by the surroundings. Rupert is deffinitly the more outspoken and vibrant of the two.
Te'Keer: His original mentor, and the one he can remember after all this time. His rearival back into the dream realm and insistance on sticking to (and ontop of) Rocco has led to the god using Te'keer as a bit of an emotional crutch
