Reproduction
Caniqua use their frills and illusionary magic to put on grand displays to attract a mate. once mated, the pair will tend to remain together and build a nest of sorts. They lay eggs, in a 2 to 3 clutch, with a gestation period of about seven months. the male provides for the female during time and the female erects a complex barrier to keep the nest safe.
the long gestation period is due to the abnormally slow development of the eggs. the eggs hatch within two months of being laid.
Diet
Caniqua are omnivores, primarily eating fish, though they can also sustain themselves on whatever edible matter they can find in the area.
