With their vast difference in appearance and function, one would think at first glance that these are two different species entirely, or at least subspecies of one another. But no, they both are the same thing.
Devis are characterized by their large solid ears, horns, and tails, which usually have some sort of odd shape at the end.
Angis are characterized by their large segmented ears, and wings.
Both species have markings and can vary in color greatly, though males stick to the Warm color spectrum and females stick to the Cool color spectrum.
Physical Description
These little creatures that normally live in one area in a large colony, usually a large tree. Devi are normally male, And Angi are normally female.
While vastly different looking, each Devi and Angi pair seem to share markings, meaning there's normally a direct parallel going on between the two in any given colony.

Magic and Abilities
Both Devi and Angi use their multicolored ears to regulate their magics, though each utilize said magic in vastly different ways.
Devis, being the more physical of the two focus entirely on amping up their already formidable power and speed, and tend to materialize a physical extension of their energy into their tails to form a blade. they can also make short duration shields, though the species as a whole is more suited for attack than defense.
Angis on the other hand use theirs in a sort of mage like sense, ranging from healing, to casting magic blasts of energy, to limited elemental attacks. They also can create Forcefeilds, which have a much better duration, and of course, having wings means that they can fly.

angis have a 4 month gestation period normally, with births ranging from 2 to 4 babies. it's extremely rare for there not to be an even number of babies. angis go into season with the spring, and the whole colony tends to go on high and rather violent alert during and after the gestation process. babies are cared for by the entire colony.
