Rob and Steve try their luck up Northwood Ln Bewdley for Barbel and Pike.
Rob was crowelling for pike, crowelling being one of Steve's words for peg hopping. Alas Rob didn't even get a knock.
Steve did manage to get a bite of a huge barbel which he played to his feet before it broke off.
They have come to the conclusion that if they were fishing for food they would be well hungry and probably loosing weigh.
Both lost kit in the snaggy bottom, and the levels and debris coming downstream was challenging to say the least.
Rob is reported as saying his confidence is at an all time low, not knowing what he has to do to get a bite.
How ever challenging it gets he is reminded that for stars to shine, there has to be darkness!
Isn't crowelling a great word even if it doesn't appear in the dictionary? I like it Steve and I'll be crowelling again next week.
