Rob and Steve spend a day at their syndicate lake, hoping to catch some of the 20lb plus Carp there.
the days starts sunny with heavy Rain forecast for midday and it did rain heavy for a while before brightening up late afternoon in to the evening.
It was warm whilst the sun was out but the wind still had a cold feel despite it being around the 20 degree mark.
Rob catches first with an 18.5lb common from the corner margin caught on a chickpea.
Steve takes a 14lb common on a Tuna Boilie caught from the far margin.
Rob takes another 18lb common from the corner again on a chickpea and a 10lb common follows from the same spot on the same bait.
Robs other spot by the pipe sees a 12lb mirror on the bank.
Steve then has 3 fish from the tip of the walk way all taken on a Triple x boilie, an 18lb a 19lb and a 14lb.
Robs last fish is a 16lb taken again taken from the corner swim on a chickpea.
So its 5: 4 to Rob but Steve does have the biggest fish of the day! Not a 20lber between them??
It is worth noting that all fish caught were taken by fishing tight to the margin, 9 fish could have been 12 as Rob lost two and Steve lost 1, they are both struggling to understand how these fish can spit a hook while there is a good bend in the rod? it's not like they have a opportunity while the line is slack. but I guess that why they call it fishing and not catching.
The lads enjoyed their session there and will surely be there again soon.
