Dear Ed I have heard some members of the team are planning to keep warm this winter by eating Hippo Stew. Do you have the recipe?
As a matter of fact Rob I do!
Take a fairly young hippopotamus Kill it, gut it, dice it! (Younger animals are tender)
In a "Large" pot add seasonal vegetables and some gravy.
Boil it until the meat is tender, and serve it in a bowl with a spoon. Salt and pepper to taste.
With friends, is always Nice!
It can be taken to the riverbank in a food flask!
Allow about a month for preparation time and and about four days to boil!
Where it says "large pot," read skip!
