Rob and Steve make their very first trip ever to the River Wye. 10am till 4pm
BAA Waters Stacklands.
It's a rainy day, raining on the way there and continuing to rain until mid afternoon.
The fishery is a wonderful place and it all looks worth casting a line in to. With No knowledge of the fishery the lads set up in a spot deciding to stay together for a social,
Canoes are a regular feature a few past by during the day! Wildlife was plentiful with Kingfishers, birds of prey, geese, swans, and woodpecker all seen.
The lads blanked? DOH
They both reported that they are sure to make another trip, having spoken to another BAA Member they were told to target the barble at the top end of the fishery where the water is a little shallower, and pike can be found everywhere, apparently its worth a wander to seek a few?
Down steam view of the spot they picked for a first dabble.
calm flat water deeper in the centre.
Upstream view from the same spot!
Autumn is approaching so was a cold front.
It seems no one else fishing here on this day caught, although we don't know how the Bloke from Birmingham who spoke to the lads did as he was just leaving the car park to fish as the lads were leaving for home.
