Steve takes a day off work and heads to Coppice Lake at Dormston for a days fishing.
He takes a 23lb Mirror early in the session and then has a bit of a wait until late afternoon before getting his second, another Mirror at 12lb.
He looses a fish while playing in the 12lber as his second rod makes a run.
an hour later or so Steve unfortunately looses another fish which seemed to spit the hook out mid water. Steve is reported as saying this was a BIG FISH!
He did however land another 19lb Common early evening.
the fish were very visible on the surface and Steve is inclined to think their are showing early pairing signs prior to spawning? The weather has been getting slowly warmer over the past few weeks.
Steve is well impressed with his new choice of Boilie it is just a matter of finding a flavor that he likes however all of those he has brought to trial seem to be picking up runs and fish.
I guess the flavor don't matter to much? if they are catching keep using em!
