Rob and Steve head to Dormston at Coppice Lake for a days fishing A day of mixed weather, colder first thing warming up later before rain set in around tea time.
They have a wait until 2pm when Steve takes a 10lb common and an 8lb common 20 minutes later.
They then wait half an hour (Give or take 5) before Steve hooks a 17lber followed shortly after by rob hooking a 10lber. This was their last fish of the day.
The new baits are still producing if a little cautiously. It is worth remembering that it is still early in the season and mixed weather is sure to be playing a part.
The lads report seeing tadpoles in the water and they heard and saw a cuckoo in the scrub behind the lake.
Keep the faith Lads, as good things come to those who bait. At least your out there getting your line wet. (This is more than some of the team can say)?
An a little bird tells me next week is your first trip to the syndicate lake, having recently been accepted in to the group.
Tight lines.
