Rob and Steve head to Apley Estate above Bridgnorth in search of the elusive Pike,
They took the peg at the end of the stream where it meets the Severn.
Steve tried a rod out for the Chub and Barbel, with pellet on the hair and one pike rod down the edge.
Rob tried one in the mouth of the stream with a roach dead bait, and the other kinda out a bit and roved around a bit during the session. this rod had a piece of Lamprey on the hook.
Rob took one 4lb pike on the roving rod early on, it was a long wait for his next bite on the roach dead bait in the mouth of the stream. He took a 6lb pike from here.
Both pike were deep hooked as if they were ravenous, as its unlike me to miss a bite and I never hook em deep? They wanted it alright!
The weather was typical late November rain cold rain cold winds and some more rain.
