Rob, Steve and Lyle, head to the syndicate lake for a days fishing.
its a cold start followed by a clearing sky allowing the lake and the lads to bath in glorious spring sunshine.
Lyle Catches first, and this is his first fish from the syndicate lake at 16lb. Rob takes a 10lber next just before Steve takes a 16.5lb fish on the opposite side of the lake. (Near the hut).
Lyle is next to catch and takes a 10lber and Rob follows his first with a 15lber. There is a long wait before any additional fish are taken.
A double hookup sees Rob land a 14lber while Lyle takes his UK PB and first ever 20+ fish at 20lb 8oz.
Well Done Mate a superb Fish and well worth the wait! I'm sure there will be a lot more to follow.
Here are the Pics:

When is a Koi Carp not a Koi Carp?
This is not a bad joke by Rob although he is well known for bad jokes,
I've hear he (Rob) though he saw a Koi Carp in Steve's Swim at the Syndicate Lake, although this turned out to be a white bucket the wind had blown into the lake and it was partially submerged.
just to clarify any confusion, Steve has admitted that despite initially denying the bucket was his he later claimed to own the bucket? His claims of ownership only came after Rob had fished the bucket out of the lake,
Technically speaking the Bucket belongs to GB Syndicate Lake owner (A) and has never belonged to Steve, Rob or Lyle.
To be fair to Rob and Lyle they never claimed ownership of the bucket, although they did borrow the bucket after retrieval from the lake to wet their unhooking mat and keep water near by to aid fish care.
The Bucket was returned to the hut at the end of this session and is as far as we know available for other syndicate members to use to keep fish cool and wet during unhooking etc.
I have no idea if there are any Koi in the Lake?
On returning home Rob discovered that his pet rat Elvis had died? it was caught in a trap?
ED
Ps No Rob there is no reward for rescuing the bucket, don't expect medal, any thanks, or acknowledgment for rescuing the bucket, It's a Bucket!
