Rob Ste Lyle and Phil, all spend the day at the GB Syndicate Lake.
It's a cold day very overcast, with winds from the north. 10 degrees but it feels like 4.
Rob fishes the point, with Chickpeas and Sweet corn but has no luck and ends the day as a blanker! Robs spot was only 10 foot away from Phil's and they were using the same bait??
Phil takes the first fish at about 14lb and a PB of 20lb 2oz the Pic is in the gallery.
Lyle takes 1 at 20lb 8oz and has two snaps in a Snag, Ouch not the best day out mate.
Ste takes 1 at about 10 or 11lb.
Phil as somehow managed to hook a Swan which was head down in his swim while his back was turned, we manage to reel it in and untangle it unhook it and it was returned a little miffed but otherwise none the worst for the ordeal. Steve is quoted as saying "It's nice to know Phil can still pull the birds" LOL
I can't help but think the Swan knew it was in need of help as when approaching the bank somewhat tangled it calmly walk to us and let us take hold and help.
It's mate seemed more distressed out in the center of the lake to be honest.
I heard Rob went straight home stripped to the waist and while kneeling on the lawn, whipped himself with a frozen kipper until he bled just like a disgraced Samurai Warrior!
He also posted Phil's PB pic on his Instagram Acc. He was Made up for Phil its always nice getting a PB. Well done Phil.
