With Steve sue back from his holiday in Wales today, Phil and Rob head up to Trimpley for an evening in pursuit of Barbel and Chub.
After the heavy rain on Thursday and Friday, the rive had risen and was beginning to fall .46 on Saturday morning and .44 by lunchtime. The water was coloured too.
Rob thought the conditions were perfect and it was nice to see some water in the river as it had been extremely low.
Rob manages to catch 1 small Eel on Luncheon meat in the margin, that was the only fish they caught?
there was plenty of wildlife to view including , Herons, a pair of kingfishers, and otters!
a very disappointing evening. but I guess that's why they call in Fishing and Not Catching?
