I just knew it wouldn't be long before the lads were back at the syndicate lake! LOL
Steve and Lyle arrive at 7am and catch a few showers early on, Rob arrives just after 10 due to work commitments.
It's a very overcast day threatening rain but none really came after 10. the wind on the other hand was brisk and made casting a little difficult at times.
Steve and Lyle took the car park side of the lake, with Steve fishing the Pipe end and Corner margin where Rob was last week. Lyle was fishing the Tip and walkway margins where Steve was last week. Rob decided to fish the Hut pegs taking control of over half the lake, however he concentrated his rods on two spots. One opposite him towards the lads near some lilies and one Rod down the edge to his left close to the corner with the tree, but sufficiently far enough away from the tree to be different. Rob used sweet corn opposite and Chickpeas down the edge. he later switched his sweet corn rod to Boilies (IB'S).
The Catches for each are:

Rob lost 3 fish as these fish do seem to have a skill of spitting the bait, and I think Steve lost at least 2.
Rob was very satisfied with his day out has he was trying the rigs he will be taking to France this year, although stepped down for the Syndicate lake. using a size 6 hook as opposed to the size 2 or 4 he will be using in France.
He also had both rods going off at the same time twice as did Steve, so again this is good Practice for France as this phenomenon seems to be common place in France.
Learning to cope on your own always a good thing. Reminds Rob that it may be worth only fishing 2 rods in France as three would be a nightmare at times and not fair on the fish.
It is also becoming clear that while fishing the GB Syndicate the closer to the margin you are the better your chances of a bite. Smaller baits seem to work well too?
An excellent day fishing. Well Worth the Dollar!
