Martin, Steve, Rob and Lyle head to Chad Lakes for a weekends carp fishing. Home Pool. Friday to Monday.
The weather was set to be fine warm sunny days with clear cold nights, an high has been dominating and will do for the entire session.
Rob chooses peg 2 the Willow, Steve the Shed, Martin Pegs 4,5,6, the Island, Bamboo, and the Hobbit! Lyle chooses peg 1 the Gate.
all was set for a great weekend ahead, little did we know the fish were just not gonna eat. we saw fish cruising on the top in Lyle's swim and sometimes in Rob's too but they just went interested in feeding. Lyle tried a zig rig as well as two bottom baits.
Rob stuck to the plan and concentrated on two areas on the far bank near snags and the tip of the island.
Steve had three spots and at least 3 or 4 baits to try all to no avail, Martin tried two Choddy's and a bottom bait and nothing??
Martin and others had seen fish in Martins swim too up in the far corner of the lake nearer to the Causeway peg.
they just were not interested in any of the goodies we had to offer, The Key Boilies with special hookers, Equinox by NASH all good quality baits Mainline Cell usually works on most venues, but not Chad and not this weekend.
Incompetent Blankers?
It sure was cold of a night, but very warm in the afternoon sun.
