Recipe courtesy of Pam's Midwest Kitchen Korner

NOTE: This makes a lot, enough for 16 servings

Ingredients:

½ green bell pepper, minced

1 large yellow onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 pounds 85% ground beef

1 pound 95% ground beef

3 tablespoons tomato paste

2 cups 78 Red Spicy Ketchup

1 cup water

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon yellow mustard

1½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons chili powder

1½ teaspoons kosher salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional

Method:

Set electric skillet to 350° (or use large skillet on stove-top).

Add bell pepper, onion and garlic to skillet and cook for a minute.

Add meat and cook until beef browns and breaks apart into crumbles, about 10 minutes, push meat to side and drain well.

Add remaining ingredients, stir well to combine.

Cook for 15-30 minutes until cooked through and thickened to your liking.

Remove from heat.

Serve over toasted buns.

Enjoy!
