Hard luck to Barrow Gaels Under 16s who came up just short against Grange in the Under 16D Championship Final on Friday night, 11th September scoring 3:09 to Granges 3:14. The Gaels were trailing by 10 points at half time, however the second half display from the Gaels was top class, the Grange keeper gave a man of the match display to deny Barrow Gaels.
Well done to both teams on a fine, sporting game and thanks to mentors Thomas Moran and James Mulhall for putting in a tremendous effort.
Most of this team are eligible to play in the upcoming Under 15 competition, due to start on the 28th September, and with any luck the Gaels will be adding to the Under 14 medals won earlier in the year.
