Sad Passing of Johnny Casey

Kildangan GAA wish to extend deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Johnny Casey, who died suddenly this morning. Johnny was a life president and founding member of Kildangan GAA. Johnny was father of Senior team captain Padraig Casey.

Johnny was a proud Kildangan man, always willing to give a hand when events were being organised. He was a fantastic master of ceremonies, many people will remember his great skill as an auctioneer during our fundraising hunts.

Johnny was also involved in other local committees, including the cemetery, where he was a prime mover in the recent extension.

To his wife Sheila, his sons Stephen, Padraig and John, his daughters Eileen, Patrician and Catherina, his grandchildren and extended family a heartfelt condolences.

Our dinner dance, originally scheduled for Saturday 7th November has been postponed for a few weeks as a mark of respect. The new date will be advised as soon as possible.
