Under 14 Challenge

Cúchulainn Gaels 2-7 MOOREFIELD 2-5 (played in Moorefield) With the shield semi-final on Sunday 9th April this challenge match was a very good work out for both sides. The Gaels proved that they are capable of matching a division one team and went on the attack from the start and were soon in the lead. A lead that they held onto despite consistent pressure from the hosts. All of the hard work done on the training field is starting to pay off and the saying that practice makes perfect was very evident as the Gaels were brillant in the tackle, dispossessing their opponents time and time again. This was a great team performance and a victory that gave the lads a great lift knowing that they can match one of the best teams in the county. A repeat performance will be required for Sunday if the lads are to progress to the final.
