1. Lab coat, glasses and gloves lab coat labwear

a. No place to hang coats

b. No coats and gloves in the office, gloves are thrown in the garbage bin when done with experiment, do not open doors with gloves on

c. Always wear lab coat and glasses

d. UV glasses (order 4 units) & Visible light safety glasses (order 2 units)

e. Use acid gloves (order 4 units)

2. Chemical cabinet for acid-based chemical (order)

3. Dry cabinet (order)

4. Solid chemical waste bin (order)

5. Chemical waste management

a. No chemicals go down the drain

b. Know how to treat chemical waste

6. Transfer from floors – use a carrier (order 2nd carriers)

7. Clothing requirement

a. Closed shoes

b. Long pants

c. Long sleeves

8. Cell Culture room

a. Equipment and supplies only for CC room should stay in CC room

b. Take out gloves when opening doors

9. Labeling samples

a. Always label with project, name and chemical composition

10. Penalty

a. 1^st offense – 1 day suspension

b. 2^nd offense – 1 week suspension

c. 3^rd offense – out!
