Finding an Apartment

Here are a few useful sites to help you find an apartment. Generally if you go with a rental agency, they will charge you ½-1 months rent fee (some may not). Craigslist is very useful for finding apartments that may or may not charge a fee. If may be best to arrange for a few realtors to take you around to places and to have a few places from Craigslist you can visit on your own.

Parking

Home - If you lease an apartment in Somerville or Cambridge you can purchase parking permits which enable you to park on the street. Permits cost about $20 per year however you need MASS plates (registration) to do this.

Lab - There is parking available across the street from the lab in a parking garage. The price is $240/month, however if you are a BWH employee this is subsidized and costs about $80 per month. It is often much quicker to take public transit than drive.
