Summary:
Liver TE: Finished controlling gelatin microbeads, microsphere size between 150-300 micron
3D microstructure of HA-IPN (Onur project): Synthesize HA, preparing materials
Cardiac cell fiber: tried with cardiomyocytes(CM) incorporation in alginate microfiber, cells did not spread in the gel
Culture CM and 3T3 in fibrin gel, CM do not spread, 3T3 spread : CM needs stiff gel matrix, ref 2005 Science 10kPa=> Gelatin crosslinking (Dr. Hojae)
Action Plan:
Liver TE : Ca++ ion incorporation in the microspheres to make alginate homogeneous gelation
Preliminary study with porous cell laden gel and albumin assay
3D Microfabrication(Onur) : Cell compatibility evaluation of cells \
Cardiac TE : Cell culture on different stiffness gelatin gels

Summary: Changmo - staining cells for viability current method does not work well. Artifact of cell viability. Problems with diffusion of dyes ? Review literature.
