Summary: discussed the data for proliferation of HUVEC cells on PCL scaffolds, and presented experimets and problems with PGS electrospinning, Suggestion of seeding fibroblasts on PGS scaffolds

Action Plan: optimize PGS electrospinning, Add HA to the blend

Summary: 1. Discussed the work done with Sheriff on electrospun PCL Fibres along with the preliminary data and future work

2. Suggestions on studying endogenesis of HUVEC cells on these fibres

3. Concerns about normalizing the cell proliferation/migration into the scaffolds after several days of culture

Action Plan: 1. Polymerization (crosslinking) of PGS provided by Jason to be repeated (the first trail failed)

4. Plan and Start cell culture studies with Sheriff

Progress on issues from last meeting: 1. PGS kept for polymerization did not work ( polymer became too brittle, hence started another trial)

2. Polymerized PGS at different conditions, this polymer insoulble in most of the solvents so could not be used for electrospinning

3. Tried PGS prepolymer with different polymers and could get some fibers but the process needs to be optimized

4. Study with PCL nanofibers of sheriff is in progress.

Summary: 1. Discussed biomaterial optimization for cardiac tissue engineering

2. Discussed electrospinning of PGS and other natural biomaterials together as a way to combine natural and synthetic polymers.

3. Cell culture assays and characterization for evaluation of PCL nanofibres for Sheriff

Action Plan: 1. Polymerization (crosslinking) of PGS provided by Jason

2. Order the required chemicals like solvents, collagen and HA (powders)

3. Literature on the synthesis of PFPE polymers

4. Continue work with Sheriff (ponit 3 above)

2. Preliminary data (microscopy) for 7 day on growth of endothelial cells on PCL nano/microfibres

Summary: Presented project proposal on drug delivery to breast cancer cells and biomaterial optimization for cardiac tissue engineering.

Action Plan: 1. Primary culture technique with Jinsoek

2. Learn the electrospinning technique

3. Literature serach for ways to combine the various biomaterials to form hybrid.
